For Engagement of Contractual Lecturers for the Academic Arrangement for the Academic Session -2021

Applications on the prescribed format, which can be downloaded from the University website at www.kashmiruniversity.net are invited for engagement of Contractual Lecturers on academic arrangements in the following Departments of the main campus for the academic year 2021. The candidates possessing NET/SET/Ph.D in the relevant subject/discipline with minimum of 55% marks at Post-graduate level are eligible to apply for the post.

• History: History of Modern Kashmir & World History.
• Library & Information Science: Open Source, Information Retrieval, Collection Development University Libraries & Reference Management Software.
• Islamic Studies: Experience of teaching Arabic at PG level &/or Academic Degree in Arabic.
• MERC: Still Photography, T.V Production & Media Publication.
• Chemistry: Physical, Organic & Inorganic Chemistry.
• Geography & Regional Development: Remote Sensing, Physical Geography & Human Geography.
• Disaster Management: Remote Sensing, M.A/M.Sc Disaster Management/Geography/Environmental Science/Geology.
• Geo-Informatics: Ph.D in the field of Geo-informatics/Remote Sensing & GIS/Geomatics OR M.Sc (Geo-informatics)/Geomatics/Remote sensing & GIS with 55% marks & NET/SET/GATE.
• Earth Science: M.Sc Applied Geology.
• Management Studies (Main Campus):
  • For MBA/IMBA: MBA: Finance/Marketing/HRM/Operations Management.
  • For MFC/MBA-FM: Finance
  • For MCA/M.Sc-IT: IT
  • For MTTM: MTTM/MBA (Tourism Management)/MBA with Tourism as one of the specialization.
• Economics: Macroeconomics, Statistical Methods, Mathematics for Economics, Planning & Development, Introduction to Economics, Economics of Social Sector, Econometrics, J&K Economy, Demography, Economics of Conflict, Economics of Growth, Public Finance, Economics of Tourism, Labour Economics & Gender & Development.
• Persian: Modern Persian Prose, Good Fluency in Spoken Persian & Command in Translation from English to Persian & Vice-Versa.
• Linguistics: Field Linguistics, Descriptive Linguistics & Kashmiri Linguistics.
• Kashmiri: History of Kashmiri Literature, Literary Criticism, Linguistics & Comparative Literature.
• Iqbal Institute of Culture & Philosophy: P.hD Urdu, Persian, Arabic, English, Kashmiri, Education, Philosophy, Political Sciences, Economics, Islamic Studies, Sociology & History/NET/SET with Iqbal Studies.
• Music & Fine Arts: Applied Art, Sculpture, History of Art, Model, Potter, Instructor Vocal, Sr.Instructor Painting & Sr. Instructor Tabla.
• Biochemistry: Biochemistry.
• Bio-Resource: Zoology, Botany & Bio-resource with specialization in Immunology, Parasitology and Bioinformatics.
• Clinical Biochemistry: Clinical Biochemistry/Biochemistry.
• Microbiology: M.Sc and Ph.D in Microbiology.
• Home Science: Human Development, Dietetics & Clinical Nutrition.
• Computer Science: Computer Science.
• Pharmaceutical Sciences:
• Essential:
  • M.Pharm (Masters degree from AICTE/UGC recognized institution with a minimum 55% marks in the following specialization in order of preference:
    • a) Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
    • b) Pharmaceutics/Pharmacognosy/Pharmacology/Pharm. Practice
• Desirable:
  • i) Ph.D in respective specializations
  • ii) Ph.D thesis submitted
  • iii) Valid GPAT score card
  • iv) Publications in UGC approved journal
  • v) Teaching Experience
• IT&SS: M.Sc. IT with NET/SET/Ph.D or MCA with NET/SET/Ph.D or B.E/B.Tech (CSE/IT) with M.E/M.Tech (CSE/IT) or M.E/M.Tech (CSE/IT) (without undergraduate Engineering degree) & with one year teaching experience at PG level.
• Physical Education & Sports: Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Sports Management, Health Education, To impart Practical training of different games. Khokho, Badminton, Football, Volley & Athletics.
• Women’s Studies & Research: M.A/ Gender Studies/ Women Studies/ Political Science & Sociology/ History.

NOTE
a) Candidates in their own interest are advised to be in touch with the Deans of the concerned Schools about the date, venue and time of the interview.
b) Salary of the appointees shall be paid on the basis of their qualification.
